GENERAL MAINTENANCE & FURNITURE REPAIR TECHNICIAN

Flock Events is New Zealand’s largest luxury event furniture hire company, delivering curated, high-end furniture and décor for weddings, corporate events, festivals, and private functions across the country.

We’re looking for a General Maintenance & Furniture Repair Technician to join our Auckland team, someone who takes pride in their work and has a sharp eye for detail. This jobjob is key to ensuring our hire stock is event-ready.

You’ll be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and improving our furniture and hire items, working closely with the Workshop & Event Delivery Manager & team to keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes.

  • Flexible hours, with workload varying depending on project demand and peak periods.Based in our Onehunga warehouse

What You’ll Be Responsible For

  • Repairing and maintaining furniture, décor, and hire items

  • Identifying damage and creating an action plan for repair

  • Carrying out basic carpentry, sanding, painting, and refinishing work

  • Assisting with custom builds, modifications, and improvements to hire stock

  • Working closely with the operations team to prioritise urgent repairs

  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient workshop environment

  • Managing tools, materials, and repair supplies

What We’re Looking For

  • Practical, hands-on skills in furniture repair, carpentry, or general maintenance

  • Strong attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work

  • A problem-solver who can think creatively and work independently

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

  • Physically capable of handling furniture and equipment

  • Experience with tools, workshop equipment, and basic carpentry/upholstery techniques

  • Other skills such as welding, upholstery, or finishing experience desirable but not necessary
